This website provides information on Mount Peter master planning and lets you know how to keep up to date with what is happening in the planning process.

Planning for the development of Mount Peter is a partnership between Cairns Regional Council, landowners and Queensland Government.

This project is led by Cairns Regional Council, and it represents one of the largest master planning exercises undertaken in Queensland.

Mount Peter has been identified as the main urban growth corridor for Cairns with development expected to occur over the next 20-30 years.

This website is one of many ways that members of the community can be kept informed about, and participate in, the process.

Over the last few months the Cairns Regional Council together with the Queensland Government have undertaken significant work in order to deliver the Mount Peter Master Plan.

The results of this work are currently being finalised which will enable the draft plan to be presented to the community for feedback and comment over the coming months.

Information regarding consultation will be placed on this website as well as in local media.
